Hi, my name is Wing and I’m studying astrophysics at St Andrews. Most people think of astronomy as an ‘interesting and deep’ topic and it actually is! I come from Hong Kong, where we have to learn Cantonese, English and Chinese at school. Apart from the above languages, I learn Japanese because I’m into Japanese culture, including music, anime and literature. My favourite Japanese writer is Dazai Osamu because his books are humorous (I often burst into laughter when reading his short stories). One of my favourite stories, Lantern of Romance, is about how siblings make up their own version of Rapunzel and how the plot goes crazy gradually…I really recommend this book to you!
