Hi, I’m Isabel and I study Philosophy and Mathematics in my third year at St Andrews. I love to travel, hike and read. Being from a small town in Bavaria, Germany, I translated a not so well known German Sci-fi book into English. There are lots of famous German authors and books, so it was really interesting to work with a text that hasn’t been translated before and having to try and find some English expressions for particularly long or complicated German words (we have a lot of vocabulary that often means very specific things, so it can be hard to find an adequate translation!)
